Because we provide these services, we understand that the problem of hunger and homelessness cannot be solved by this one dimensional approach. Our response to the problem requires a broadening of the discussion to focus on the social and economic factors that become barriers to self-sufficiency. Unfortunately these very factors are causing the number of people who lack enough food and adequate shelter to "increase" rather than decrease.
